Ya está casi todo listo para una nueva edición de este singular “evento” que reúne a cantantes, diseñadores y modelos en un mismo escenario, y cuyas recaudaciones van a parar a una organización para la lucha contra el cáncer.

Suena raro, ¿verdad?; una especie de fiestecilla de glamour y superficialidad que destina lo recaudado a una obra social benéfica… bueno, no es la primera que se hace algo así (recordemos los famosos Live Aid, aunque estos, carecían de “pasarelas”). De acuerdo, hagamos ver que nos lo creemos. Vamos a ver cual es el “show” que nos aguarda.

La pasada edición fue llevada a cabo en el estupendo Royal Albert Hall de Londres. Este año le ha tocado el turno al Radio City Music Hall de Nueva York, otro precioso y emblemático recinto. El cartel no puede ser más actual (dejando de lado la “pasarela”, que no es lo que nos ocupa aquí): Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Duffy; también estarán: Mariah Carey, Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Chris Brown, Kid Rock y Lil Wayne entre otros.

Fashion Rocks 2008 va a tener lugar día 5 de septiembre, aunque no va a ser transmitido hasta día 9 por la CBS. Un espectáculo para los amantes del morbo y la farándula (perfectamente respetable), pero también para aquellos seguidores de la buena música actual.
